FUTURE OF FOOD SEMINAR: 'FROM VISION TO ACTION'

The future impact of BIC countries on the global food system

High level seminar in Lausanne, 16-17 November 2011

Jointly organised by IMD and Schuttelaar & Partners

During the third seminar, that has been attended by more than forty CEOs, senior experts and decision makers in the global food system, we have shifted our focus from vision to action. Speakers showed some of the pressing challenges the global food system faces in different regions of the world today and tomorrow. Through a strategic dialogue among key stakeholders a series of 5 shared actions have been formulated. At the end of the seminar, these proposals for action were handed over to Peter Bakker, the newly appointed Chairman of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. We hope that these action proposals can play a role in further international activities in this area.
